I try to start the Aria player, which I installed 5 minutes ago. "Please re-install". No really.

question #2: the KeyCard instructions say

"Right-click on the image below and save it to your desktop.
Then launch the Garritan Standalone Player application
"

But I see no "Garritan Standalone Player" Do they mean the Aria Player?

Yes, the standalone player is the Aria player.

The Aria player can operate by itself, with you loading sounds into it and hearing those sounds as you play your midi keyboard. This would be considered stand alone.

The other way to use the Aria player is as a plugin which works within another application. You can use the Aria player within Finale to play back your scores. You can also use the Aria player within DAWs and other music applications.

Thanks.

1. If that's what they mean, shouldn't someone correct the web site?

2. "The Aria player can operate by itself," That was my problem: I install it and it says that it cannot start, please re-install.

3. I was indeed wanting to use the plugin, but the instructions for authorizing that one said to  drag the keycard onto the application. I just discovered that I could also drag the keycard onto the plugin and that solves my problem. But I sure wish it had said so in the first place.
