Running Finale 26.2.<a million fucking numbers> on a Mac running Catalina 10.15.4.

I'm coming back from the dark side (Sibelius) in the past 72 hours and working with different kinds of notation between layers. I'm in cut time, trying to notate a drum fill in Layer 1 with slashes on the & of 1, 2 and & of 2 and a solid kick drum hit on the & of 1 in Layer 2. (See attached screenshot, hopefully). I've gotten so far as to get the slashes notated, but the kick hit in Layer 2 now has no stem. Thanks for your help!
