Hello all,

Wrote a keyboard part to go with a song of mine, then decided to play the gitfiddle leads with the keyboards too and maybe do them in fifths and thirds, so there are parts where I have bends in the guitar parts so I decided to hook my VST up to my DAW (Reaper) and play along with the leads using the "modulation wheel" (is that the right term for it, I don't know), to do the bends. I am using a Nektar Impact GX61 keyboard, my VST is Keyscape by Spectrasonics and I was recording into a Midi item in Reaper.

So on my first couple of tries it worked out and the "bends" came through with the export from Reaper and the import of Finale V26 (still a trial version). But the last few I've tried are a no go. The notes come through but no bends. Anyone have any idea as to what to check in the midi settings.

I have tried forums in Reaper but I haven't had one reply in over a week, I don't think anyone there uses XML.

The good news is that your trial period is good for 60 days.

The bad news is that none of us are likely to know how tightly MusicML is integrated into Reaper by its developers. I know that, in 2018 it was supporting MusicXML 3.0 but whether or not it supports MIDI mends etc. is something that most (all?) of us are going to know. If you can't get an answer from Cuckos, I don't know what to tell you.

You can try the Submit a request link at the top of the page to see if MM Support will look at a file during the Pre-Sales period. I have no idea if they will or not since this is a Users' board and I, like most who post here, do not work for MakeMusic.
