Hey, I have a workaround that I'm using now, but I have to ask.

In finale 2014.5, is there a way to hyperscribe the part in the instruments pitch and have finale automatically transpose the midi to concert pitch?  I'm playing a saxophone part that is in concert Eb, and when I play the part that is in C, the pitches end getting way jacked up...I can run the part through the transpose tool, but because the key is wrong going in, it creates a whole list of jacked up enharmonic notes, which is a pain to fix.

In the meantime, I will make a Max/MSP patch to allow me to transpose down and up like on those fancy keyboards.  Just wondering if Finale had anything built in for this?

When I type a D major scale into a Bb Clarinet part with the score set to "Transposed," it displays as a D major scale but switches to a C major scale when I switch the score to Concert Pitch in the Documents menu.

So Finale 25 & 26 should do what you want, although I am not sure when this change was implemented.I suspect this is possible in Finale 2014 and what was added later was audio support of this feature.

I did have a workaround that I ended up doing.  I transposed the midi input in max/msp/jitter (or it could be done on one of those fancy keyboards).  It's probably the best solution out there for now.
