Hi,

I have Finale version 26.2.1.468 (I think it's 208 or 19) and I can't seem to make my piece swing in sections and then be straight in others. I have read the Human Playback instructions a 100 times and still can't do it. Any help would be gratefully appreciated.

IIRC you have to apply the swing notation to all staves in a stack to start swing, and apply the swing expression apart from the MM marking expression.

 

There is a special swing playback panel you can configure. To "turn off the swing" you create a new swing expression called something obscure (like "straight") ;-) and set the level of swing to zero.
