Hello, I have been using GPO since 2003 and JABB since 2004 on Cubase SX 2.0 running on a Windows XP machine (yes, I know!) I have recently built a new Windows 10 machine for (hopefully) the next decade or so of music making and before upgrading Cubase I wanted to see if I can get some more mileage out of all my existing tools. To make a long story short I am discovering that the Kontakt player that came with my Garritan products cannot be made to run in Windows 10 on a 64-bit machine, so I am looking into the possibility of upgrading to the modern Garritan products for $49 each.
My question is this: I have dozens of projects in-process using the old Kontakt player, with all of the expression controls and the original sample sets. I would like to know just how compatible all my projects would be in the Aria player environment with the new versions of GPO and JABB. I understand I would need to change the plug-in settings for each track, but would I have to "massage" all the performances? And are the new versions of basic instruments (I mostly use the "lush" string sections in GPO, for example) similar to the originals from over a decade ago?
Thanks in advance for any help!
Mark
