Have a brand new laptop and trying to figure things out. I cannot get the space + click playback to work. One of the few posts I saw here said to hide the playback controls, but that did not work for me. Any other suggestions? Using F26 on a Windows machine.

I am also using Finale 26 on Windows 10. In the Selection (arrow) Tool, when I hold down the space bar and click, playback begins at the start of that measure. When you hold down the space bar, does the cursor turn into an ear-shape?

 

Am not sure why it is not working for you, but I am sorry to hear it. I would try restarting Finale; and if that does not work, try rebooting your computer.

Hi Kathy,

 

I'm using a HP pc and having the same problem. (And have hade it for a long time on other pc's as well.) I'm using SPACE and than ALT+click. That does the trick for me.

Never read about this before. Just found it out by coincidence.
