I do most of my composition in a separate DAW and then export a MIDI file from there into Finale to do my notation. I have a drumset part in the piece I'm working on now. The MIDI from the DAW was on a single track and Finale brought it in looking like this:

Is there a quick way to convert this mess into drumset notation without having to enter the whole part from scratch?

You can start by activating View > Show >Percussion MIDI Values to help  you create a Percussion Map that will associate MIDI numbers with instrument names and a Percussion Layout that will let you place appropriate instruments on the lines and spaces of the staff as you wish.

If this staff is defined as a percussion staff, have you tried using "Transpose Percussion Notes" from the Utilities menu?

Thank you for the nudge in the right direction. Getting to the Percussion Maps and then implementing the Transpose Percussion Notes was confusing and not intuitive at all, but I figured it out. Definitely faster than re-entering the whole part. Now I have this:

Because of the range of notes I had to use for building the part in it's original drum map, Finale imported the track into two staves. Now I can't figure out how to get the notes from the treble staff into the other staff without overwriting it. The treble staff includes the ride cymbal and all of the fills and crashes. Any tips for how to collapse two staves into one?

Figured it out. The Utilities/Implode Music command got the job done.
