Alright all of you audio Sherlocks, I have a head scratcher for you. I use V. 26 on a Mac platform. I use the Aria Player to input/playback sounds using a Roland A-33 MIDI keyboard. It all started when, for some inexplicable reason (In last two days), Finale playback dropped the bassoon and tuba parts down an octave. The parts are as they should be in the score, but during playback they sound down an octave Now, in addition to that annoyance, when I use my keyboard to input notes there is  a delay in responce., I would hold down the key and then I would get a sound. There would be no input showing on the screen and then the MIDI would hang, with the only solution being to quit Finale. I closed the file I was working on, Quit Finale, restarted the computer, opened Finale, created a new file (a piano score) and nothing, no input and MIDI note hang up.

This is a new one for me. I am not a novice, have been a user since v. 1.3. I am not a techno wizard. Like my cars, when something goes wrong, I take it to someone who knows what the hell they are doing. Hopefully that is one of you guys with Finale.  Any help is deeply appreciated.
