I have a brand new iMac running OS Catalina 10.15.6.  I purchased the Finale v26.3 upgrade and downloaded the files(s).  The install files will not open.  I spent 2 hours on the phone with Apple support, and pretty much ruled out any problem from the Mac end of things.  Does this happen often?  How can I get this fixed?  Is there a phone number for Finale support?  My service request to Finale support has been open for 7 days now.  Finale has my money, but I've got nothing so far from them.  Please help???!!!

Are you running any anti-virus software? Are there any error messages coming up?

Hi Mike, thanks for the response.  There is no anti-virus software running, and no error messages.  There is no response at all when I click on the download, or when I click on the downloaded file from the list in Finder.  I have downloaded the file 4 times and none get any response.  I'm baffled!

Okay, never mind.  I got the download of v26 to install finally.  Would you believe it was as simple as shutting down my computer and rebooting?  I feel kinda silly now, but am glad it is finally working.  User error abounds!!!!!!
