(Finale 26.3.1.643 on MacBook Pro, Big Sur) I'm writing a piece for jazz big band in the concert key of F-sharp minor. This transposes to D-sharp minor for the alto and baritone sax parts. I think these parts would be much easier to read if they were transposed in E-flat minor. I've noticed that transposed keys are only simplified when they have 7 or more accidentals. I know how to make parts' key signatures independent, but I can't figure out how to make a nonstandard key signature with double flats or double sharps. Any suggestions? I suppose I could change these parts' transpositions to "none" and transpose them into independent key signatures of E-flat minor, but that would of course change the notes in playback.

To have a key of Eb minor for the alto and bari saxes, change the transposition in the score manager for these staves.

For the alto saxes, use this transposition:

Thank you so much! The interval number turned out to be 5 rather than 2, but this changes everything!

actually after a little trial and error I realized the correct interval number is 6 and the key alter number is -9. Thanks for steering me in the right direction!
