I'm running Finale 2014.5 on a MacBookPro with OS 10.8.5. I have a MIDISport 2x2 connected by USB, and a Yamaha P-250 connected to the MIDISport's MIDI in/out. Audio/MIDI Setup sees the MIDISport and testing the connection works.

In Finale's user manual, the instructions for the MIDI Setup window says, “Confirm that your MIDI device appears in the Input Device”.

But it doesn't say what to do if it doesn’t appear. It used to show the MIDISport in the dropdown list but not anymore. Can someone tell me what is wrong?

I use Finally infrequently and every time I sit down to use it I end up fighting with the MIDI setup.
