A VST Scan on 3rd party Sounds for Articulation and add it to the Human Playback Preference in the Instrument Techniques tab.

Bought Native Instruments Sounds and will buy the Keyboard when available. For now the sound are on the hard drive in my Computer. Like the standard MIDI cable to connect a keyboard to computer so that Finale can access the program and VST file which Finale does and plays the sounds.
It does not Enter the new info for Articulations from Native instruments into the Human Preference playback, Instr. Techniques, Tab. Which then leave my to write in the Articulations Manually which is not working 100% accurate. You need a Chart for key switch correlation which is not available from either Finale or Native as far I was able to find. The Instruments chart which I got on from you tube. I have been unable to find any other chart.
With that being said I was also wounding if leaving the
General Controls.
Garritan String
Garritan Stradivari Violin
Garritan Go friller Cello
GPO 5 Voice
GPO 5 1st Violin Section GPO 5 2nd Violin Section GPO 5 Viola Section GPO 5 1st Cello Section GPO 5 1st Bass Section
Do I need to Un-Check the Box when using native Instrument in place of Garritan? Or What if I want to use Both?
Thanks again For Reply
I suspect that, to control articulations, you will need to add customized commands to the Human Playback section to call up the appropriate codes for the instruments in question. I have never gone into HP to add customized settings and do not envy anyone who takes that on.
This forum no longer allows me to post images, but my suspicion is that you will need to add a new folder to the HP list (like the Garritan and Virtual Durmline folders) and then create techniques within them specific to your NI instruments and articulations. I do not think there are any manuals on this from MakeMusic, so you will likely have to intuit what to do by examining the other folders for clues.
I do not think you have to uncheck any of the existing folders; but you likely have to be very careful how you name your new folder and instruments within to be sure they match what Finale and NI expect when they try to connect.
As J. Adrian said, you'll need to create the HP techniques manually. Finale cannot scan your computer and create these techniques automatically.
I's certainly possible to use different virtual instruments in the same piece. Just load each engine (aria, kontakt, etc...) into it's own bank.
