No idea if this is a bug or normal behavior. When in Rewire mode, I'm controlling a DAW and not doing anything with the Finale doc except playing back.

Did it do what you wanted in 26? Probably a good idea to send this to MM Support using the Submit a request link at the top of the page.

It seems to have resolved itself. I was able to do it after a computer restart.

Using Rewire while composing can actually be a big help. I do it all the time now because Finale's audio engine is so poor. Letting the DAW handle audio, I can still do the actual composition in Finale, with VSTs loaded in Finale and everything, and forget that I even have the DAW open (until it's time to render).

Thanks for the follow up. With a number of apps, a reboot or even a complete shut down and restart is required. Finale 27 users have experienced this on both Mac and Win. Glad you got it resolved.    

We were spoiled for years with apps that just worked without rebooting. That ship has sailed.
