I used the text tool, but the expression tool would work just as well.
With the text tool, click in the score to open a text frame. Go to PopChar, and click on the glyph you want. It will show in the score as a question mark. Select that, and change the font to Bravura. You’ll probably need to enlarge it to something around 30-36.
Are timbale sticks any different from regular drumsticks? Would the same pictograph be OK?
However, it's a big pain to have to change the font each time, esp. when I had it in Bravura in PopChar. I've been experimenting with just copying the glyph and importing into expressions in Finale. Crashed Finale a couple of times but seems to work. Except, again, one has to change the Font which defaults to Helvetica. Finale should let you set the font you want and not change it to a default. But once it is there, I've been able to import as an expression.
