Finale 26.3.1.520 / Windows 10

I have read the "Piano legato or playback with slurs" thread, and my situation is similar...

When I open an older file--one created in a version earlier than Finale v.26x--very often the legato markings are not lined up correctly and do not play back legato. Think of a scale with a legato marking over its length, and then repeat the same notes without the legato marking.
The former should play back smoothly, while with the latter the playback articulates each note.

What I have to do is delete every legato marking and then redraw it for proper playback.
This can be tedious and very time consuming.

Any help will be greatly appreciated. I am hoping to find a place to "reset" the legato markings, if that makes sense.
