No, I'm not talking about the weak Garritan cymbal sounds, I'm just wondering why Finale 27.2 crashes roughly every 15 minutes on Windows 11. I have all the updates for both, running on a Surface Pro 7, i7 with 16 Gigs of RAM.

Clancy,
This is the update, newly installed? Was F27 running correctly before the update? Have you restarted the computer?
Definitely, send this in to tech support. If Windows generates a Crash Log, send that in, as well. This sort of thing happens every time there is a new release, I’m afraid.
Hey Mike! Haven't seen you since the old forum days. Then again, I haven't been around here much. Just not the same.
Anyway... This was happening before the update as well. It was happening last week when I was still running v25, and I hoped upgrading would help. I think it's a conflict with Win11, as it didn't happen under Win10. Guess I'll have to submit an error log next time it happens.
Many of us migrated to https://www.finaleforum.com, although some us hang around both places.

Upgrading to think you can fix a conflict problem usually doesn't work. The two most common crash issues are a conflict with either your sound and printer. Make sure you have the most recent driver updates for both of these. You might try disabling the printer and/or the print spooler to see if that helps.
"I think it's a conflict with Win11 ..."
Although anything is possible but I seriously doubt Win 1 is the problem unless one or both of those drivers is causing it.
If that doesn't help I will be out of suggestions as long as you have disabled the sound driver. You mentioned you believe it to be up-to-date. Since you recently upgraded to Win 11 make sure it is.
I had a problem a while back on my system. Windows reported all drivers were up-to-date but logging onto the Realtek website I found a newer driver. You might as well check the video driver, too. Make sure it is Win 11 compatible. More than likely it is one of these causing the problem.
