Hello, just trying Finale 27.

After transcribing a polyphonic piano part I've exploded the part in to four strings and the result is this.

Why Finale does not explode polyphonic parts correctly?

There are a couple of problems, there. One, of course, is the clef change for the viola.

I've never used the explode function. I would go with the plugin, JW Staff Polyphony. Add a blank staff under both the treble and bass lines, and the plugin will split them down into single line staves. Then, you can change the clef for the viola staff. Possibly a few more steps, but a simple job.

EDIT: I just had a closer look. You have two staves, and the Explode function (as I understand it from the manual) only deals with a single staff.

Truly, just a matter of seconds!

The presence of multiple layers confounds the explode function. I have never used Jari's Polyphony routine, but that might suit you better.
