Win 10, Finale 27

Hello. For the numbering repeated measures plug-in, there needs to be a way to change the font and positioning. The default font is too small and positioning interferes with other elements on the staff.

To change fonts and positioning, I have to change each measure/expression individually. This is tedious.

See attached screen shots for suggestions.  The first pic is for setting the fonts for Expressions in Document Options.  The second pic is for the number measures plug-in to override fonts and control

positioning of the number expressions. There may be better ways to do this.

I agree that numbering repeated measures is problematic. What I have done is to create a new category to redefine the font and distance from the staff for repeat measure numbers. Although I have not found a way to have Finale use it automatically, I then move the measure numbers to the new category and opt to have them assume the default font and position of the new category.

Thanks, J.

I still had to update each of the measure numbers in Expression Designer but that was much easier than right clicking every number on the staff, then changing.

I appreciate the tip!   It still needs to be fixed.

If via Edit Categories, you edit the size, position of the expressions in a dedicated category, you can apply these parameters to all the expressions of that category in one operation (Reset to Category -> Fonts; Position).

P.S.: The plug-ins JW Measure Numbers and JW Pattern offer many additional possibilities regarding measure numbers. Worth a look.

And you can select and cut/paste all the repeat-measure numbers into the new category in bulk.

Thanks for the tips. guys. I had overlooked updating the category attributes.   It will still be better if the measure number fonts could be updated directly instead of the copy/paste/update method.
