It's been years since Ukulele chords have been addressed.
Can it be possible to change the default chords based on instrument type selected? Having to edit each chord from guitar to ukulele is bad enough, but then I have to change the diagram from guitar to ukulele, adjust the fingers to suit standard G-C-E-A tuning, and Finale doesn't save the results. Ukulele is increasing in popularity in schools nowadays.

It can be done - with some work.
You will have to save the Ukulele chord symbols and fretboard diagrams as a chord suffix library.
You can load your Ukulele library into already existing Finale documents.
If you do not need guitar fretboards in the document, first delete all chord suffixes from the document - before you load your Ukulele library.
If you load the library into the template, you use for new documents, then all new documents will have the Ukulele chord suffixes and fretboards.
