I am a Finale SW2012 user, and I have many saved pieces that I have composed in the software. After purchasing a new PC and reinstalling the software, When I open OLD documents that I worked on or created on the old computer, they all have red slurs and text on them, instead of black. This problem does not exist on NEW documents created in SW. What might be the cause of this, and how would I go about fixing it?

Her is an example of the problem.

I'm guessing that there is no problem. The smart shapes are probably set to display in red in these files. Go to preferences/display colors and see what it's set to. Either way, it should print in black even if it displays in red.

 

EDIT. I just realized that you're using SongWriter. My reply was for the full Finale. Regardless, it should still print in black. Does it?

I only have a laser printer. So, yes.
