Please, please stop making these invisible. Especially the main horizontal bar when editing in scroll view. The arrows are too small when you CAN see them, and when I have to hunt & hover looking for them it is very disruptive to my workflow. There's probably a keystroke for this I don't know, but it doesn't seem to be anything obvious with the arrow keys. Plus, my hand is often on the mouse, not the keyboard.

While I'm on the topic, it would be nice if the UX folks would review Fitt's law in relation to several aspects of the UI -  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fitts's_law .

The invisible scroll bar arrows are not made invisible by design.

Rather it is a conflict between an older Finale version and a newer Mac OS version.

What version of Finale are you using?

What version of Mac OS?

Sorry, forgot to add that: Finale 27.2.0.144; Windows 11 Pro, Build 22000

Edit: the specific behavior is that they are not always invisible, they slowly fade in when you hover over them, and slowly fade out when they lose focus. There are some other programs that do something similar, but Finale seems to track the focus much slower than they do.

Follow up: The Windows Settings Accessibility panel has an option to "Always Show Scrollbars" For other programs, this includes the scrollbar arrows. Finale does not respond to changing this setting. (And yes, just to be sure, I did close Finale, change the setting, then restart Finale.)

I agree. Windows "Always Show Scrollbars" does nothing for Finale. Super annoying trying to find the scroll arrows, you have to hover over the scroll bar for them to show.

Windows Settings Accessibility panel has an option to "Always Show Scrollbars"  It does not work. Also, I am very disaapointed with a new 27 version of Finale. I fully understand is a step forward ... financial step. Lots of unusable things regarding to Articulation (never seen like many of them during my 45 years composing and arranging, mostly scores for symphony with Choir), Main Tool Palette - specially tempos. Plus without any reason instreuments stop to sound (sometimes full scores). I found out how to reset them, but it needs a lot of time fully restore all settings. Just recently - sound effects dissappered. Dynemic does not work with Accordion and Mandolina. I wrote about it to you technician. Unfortunately ...I wanted back to Finale 25, but you don't have a technik support for it now. I like Finale very much, but -- too many problems.

I am new to Finale 27, but a very long-time Finale user (got it in 1989). This arrows disappearing issue...Is there not a fix or workaround or setting change to make the arrows be constant? It can indeed waste a significant amount of time to make scroll arrows appear...not just in the main music-editing window, but also in something like the Time Signature Tool. I'm in Windows 11 Home. Would very much appreciate a solution. --KL
