Hi,

I compose in Cubase and export MIDI files, then I create a score in Finale from the MIDI. It would be a huge improvment for Finale to automatically transcribe informations from the MIDI in notation, especially slurs, dynamics, crescendo and decrescendo.

Dorico can do it and it would be a time saver for composers and orchestrators in film music.

Have you tried making the transfer in XML from Cubase Score?

 

(A standard caution on the Dorico forum is "not to expect Dorico to work like Finale."

Likewise, one should not expect Finale to work like Dorico.)

Yes I did, I don't see the differences between an xml and a MIDI import in Finale.

(it's ok, but Make Music could pay attention to the new standards created by its competitors).
