Hello,
this is a bug in Human Playback since a long time, but still present on new Finale releases:

When only some staves are selected, through View->Program(Select) staff set, Human Playback fails to play dynamics and legato/articulations, giving to playback unpredictable results, with also an unbalanced mixing.
Everything is back to normal when all the staves in the score are displayed (through "All Staves" item, on the same menu).

Could be possible to fix this bug in the upcoming 27.3 update?
This would help A LOT people who are working with smaller screens or, for whatever reason, who needs to work only on partial number of staves using this very useful option (Program / Select staff set) in View menu in Finale.

This issue could (probably easily) be fixed by letting Human Playback to analyze always all the staves in the score, and not only the displayed ones.

Have you tried muting the staff using the instrument list?

I'd mean that the playback shouldn't be affected by how many staves you are seeing on screen.
The "Program / Select staff set" menu is useful when you have big scores but you want to focus on some staves only.
For example: you are writing a full symphony orchestra score with choir and soloists, but you want to focus your view and editing on strings and woodwinds only, which are on opposite sides each other in the score, and couldn't be displayed together on your monitor without scrolling the page up and down.
This tool is very useful in this case.
The playback should always take in account the entire score, and Human Playback should always play the dynamics and articulations correctly, regardless on which staves you want to display on screen by using  "Program / Select staff set" menu.
If you want to mute/unmute some staves it's another topic, and does not concern the meaning of this menu item.
