Finale 26 under windows 11 is suddenly freezing when entering lyrics using click assignment.

Only way round so far is to force Finale to close. However the problem persists when Finale is reopened.

Any ideas?

Try restarting the computer, rather than just Finale.

Done that.  I was using Word to store my lyrics which I then copied into the lyrics window.  When I then tried to click enter lyrics the program stopped responding and the CPU usage leapt up to 30%!!!

I have now tried storing my lyrics in Notepad as a text file.  When then doing the same process of copying lyrics into the lyrics window - so far so good.  However I had completed 4 verses before the problem arose.

Still puzzled
