Finale is a near perfect program with one large exception.  There is no reason for expressions or smart shapes to overlap articulations or notes as their default.  This is extremely time consuming when it comes to producing scores and parts.  Sibelius and Dorico both have this feature (I just purchased Dorico last week and have started learning it in the hopes of being able to create scores and parts faster).  While it is nice to be able to manipulate and move expressions, articulations, and smart shapes to where ever we wish, it is frustrating that the default often collides and requires hours of "fixing" to make decent looking parts and scores.
