How do I delete a stray word which is in totally the wrong place? If I delete it, it will delete it from the lyrics window and then delete all the other instances of the word. I just want to delete this single word.
Can you help please?
I have Finale 25. (v 26.3.1.643) and I use a Mac - Catalina 10.15.7

Welcome to the forum!
By your word “word” you probably mean “syllable” (possibly a one-syllable word).
I am not sure I fully understand the issue, but try this:
Lyrics menu > Adjust Syllables
Handles will appear on all syllables.
Drag-select the handle on the pesky “syllable” - or “word” - and hit the Backspace key.
