God, the bugs with MacOS sonoma are all over the place. Finale keeps on crashing and it takes forever to open

Hi. Lately when I try adding an instrument with the score manneger, finale (27) won't let me/ the 'add instrument' button is grey and not responding. I can add a blank stave with the staff tool but...
