- Hiding duplicate beams when multiple parts on single staff have beamed stems pointing the same direction
Enter the unison and 2nd intervals as Layer 1 & 2. The other things that need to be on a single stem, enter in Layer 1 and hide rests in Layer 2.

Thanks for the history, Mike H.! I can still use 2014.5 and previous versions on the latest Windows, though. Not being able to use new software on old hardware should be expected.

This isn't really an issue on Windows, so the fault lies with Apple, not MakeMusic. If you want to run Finale on computers that must have the latest Mac OS, upgrade to Finale 26.

This is just a guess, but if these are beat attached pedal markings, they will be attached to the beat. I notice you have beams over barlines, so it's possible you have some notes manually position...

Oh, right. Make sure "Update Automatically" is unchecked in: Document Options > Multimeasure Rests

Right-click on a multimeasure rest "measure" and go to: Multimeasure Rest > Edit... and adjust the measure width there.
