Thanks my computer is not the problem. This new version has a clunky mixer window. I finally got all the other issues resolved and right now I am doing a full reinstall.
The same error.happened on the HP envy I.was on the phone for a long time and email supports. The technician all gave up and finale still does not work. I believe that perhaps it's a patent issue...

Nothing worked.on two different laptops
I'm having the same problem in version 25. It was working perfectly one day and the next day crackling popping and lagging it's a battle over the noise and I can hardly work on my Opera composition.
