Often, even following my steps, there will be a superfluous rest at the end of tuplets beyond a simple triplet. If so, just delete them and move on!

David, Perhaps the instructions should give the key as Shift-8, rather than *. Would the numpad * work as well? If so, maybe both could be noted.
