With the Page Layout tool, check the margins on page 3. You may have to move them to make room for the next system.

This is a feature I've never used, but I just tried it, and it's working for me.

If you enter C:0 (zero) you will see all of the available suffixes.

Turn off auto-numbering. Just enter the number with the lyrics. Remember to use a hard space between the 1. and the first lyric.

Just as a follow up: The original was a blurry scan of a hymnal page, so it wouldn't work through SmartScore. It was a simple, 20 measure, 4 part hymn. It took me about 20 minutes to key it in.

You might also try selecting the entire score > Clear Selected Items > MIDI Data.
