Ernest, you can save a step. Double-click and hold, and drag the slur out, rather than entering the slur, and then dragging it.
Try turning off Automatic Music Spacing.
Operating system, Finale version, any additional sound packages… Consider adding this to your signature, as Mike H. and I have done.
Disregarding the lack of accidentals, etc., is this what you want?
You can mute the sound in the Mixer or Score Manager.

The Swing rhythm is in Expressions > Tempo Marks
And the better the scanning software, the better the result. Don't be misled by the low-priced "scan to sheet music" software. The programs that allow you to edit the recognition are the way to go....
