Pressing "Fn-Return" on a MBP will work like a dedicated Enter key. Or program your own shortcut key to do it.
Under the midi menu, switch it to "Play through Audio Units". Then you'll be able to select Aria player.
What OS are you using?
Paul, You need to turn off auto-music spacing when you're doing fine tuning to layout issues. You'll find it in Preferences/Edit.
Steven, Finale 2014.5 is not supported on 10.14. You'll need to upgrade to Finale 25 or 26 to work on your OS.

I would strongly suggest turning auto-spacing off when doing these layout adjustments. There will be times when you make manual adjustments and auto-spacing will delete your fine tuning.
