Yes, I have a backup of the file. I made some minor changes to that file and saved it one day later, but the banks were empty. I don't recall doing anything unusual.

Yes, the same player will play both. Using the Change Instrument in Utilities appears to turn off the flute in layer 2. The flute did play until I changed from alto to flute.
Thanks, but my issue is why the flute plays in layer 2 doesn't play on eight measures of the song. It does play on all the other measures.

Sorry, yes to both layout and playback. In the screen shot, measure 2 and 4 transposed correctly, but not 1 & 3.
