I think you'll have to remove the notes manually with an entry tool. If you had the full Finale, you'd have various ways of filtering out the unwanted notes, but Print Music doesn't have this capability as far as I know. The only other possibility would be to revert to a backup file that has not been subjected to auto harmonization.

Thanks for that. The program won't allow you to undo so I tried to close the file without saving but the harmony notes still remain. Taking them out manually was very tedious as often all the notes in the cord disappeared and the original had to be put in again. I think your idea of a backup file is the most sensible plan. Thanks again for you interest.   

Have tried again and been successful in removing harmonies by closing the file without saving the file. Don't know why it failed to do it in the past. Not the complete answer if you have entered things into the file that you want to save as well.
