does anyone have a workflow for taking notes and chords on a single staff and either:

1) making them into double time (so twice any many events per bar)

or

2) making them into half time (half as many events per bar)?

This would be for laying out music for a copywork client who I work back and forth until the arrangement is "right". 

NOTE: I realize that I can use Change Note durations and tick "rebar" music so that you can do this on an entire piece. But there is no way to make the chords follow the same commands, especially when you want to do it on only a few bars in the middle of a piece. 

This used to be easy with Finale 2010 and earlier versions where Chords were attached to hidden notes on Layer 4. Using Change Note Durations could easily change an entire arrangement from regular time to double time feel or half time feel.
