I am running Finale 14.5 on a Windows 7 machine.  I created a tempo entry of 96 at the beginning. The first part of the song is a simple repeat. The first time through it plays fine, but on the repeat, it speeds up.  Note that the song is also set to a standard swing beat.

How was the song entered into your computer?

I had created it as a midi and opened it as such.  Been doing this forever and this is the first time I've had this happen.
Thanks.

Any measure expressions in the last bar of the repeat that might change tempo on playback?

Have you used Clear Selected Items to clear all MIDI data from your score--just in case some snuck in and was ported over to Finale?

If "Human Playback" is on, try turning it off.  It is a fun bug :)

Or export to XML, reimport and see if that solves the issue.

This is a long standing bug that happens constantly.  It is a bugger :)

No expressions in the last bar of the repeat.

I tried to Clear Selected Items - MIDI data - no change.

Haven't tried the export to XML yet.

Thanks everyone for trying.

Try the XML.  It should solve the issue.

MakeMusic knows there is an issue and it is triggered by Human Playback along with virtually anything in the score including repeats.  They either are choosing not to or do not know how to fix it.  Maybe a combination of both?

Yes, that fixed it, thank you!

Great!

Unfortunately for me, many times I have to have a notation and a playback file.  It is super annoying!
