 I just want to change the tempo for the entire piece or a section of a piece. Why can this not be done easily? Where is the old tempo tool?

Or use the MIDI Tool - it can do what the Tempo Tool could do.

I cant find where are how to change multiple tempos in a score. I want first 26 measures at one tempo the next 20 a another tempo and then complete score with first tempo. When I change tempo it changes for the whole score.

I suspect you are changing tempos in the playback control window. Don’t do that. That is only for setting the initial tempo. You can start there, and at measure 27, insert an expression with the new tempo. Then, at measure 47, use another expression to return to your initial tempo.
