Using Mac El Capitan 10.11.6. Using Finale V25. 1) How do I eliminate the "brown" notes which seem randomly placed among the black notes? 2) What is their purpose? Is there a section of the manual that I have overlooked that discusses this?
The brown notes are those that Finale judges as being out of the range of a particular instrument. You can turn the distracting coloring off in the View Menu > Out of Range notes.
