MacBook Pro.  Mac OS Sierra: Finale 2014.5

I am sure I am doing something wrong, but can't seem to rectify the problem.  

I am trying to use grace notes in a folk song.  When I get them on my cursor, I CANNOT get rid of them.  So every note I write, it becomes a grace note.  Help.

What steps have you tried, to get rid of the grace notes?

 

Usually you can just click the grace note tool on the Simple Entry palette, to de-select the grace note tool.

Or, you can double-click the primary note, again, releasing the grace note.
