Mac OS10.9.5 - Finale 2014.5

I would like to add some alternate measures at the end of my arrangement to simplify some of the rhythms for some players.  How can I add those measures at the end without having them connected to the end of the piece?

You might try to adapt the Coda plug-in for your purposes. Suggest you try it on a sample file or a copy of your working file, since getting rid of the results is difficult if you decide you don't like it.

A guess here (I'm away from my studio right now): Use the repeat tool>make a custom repeat text where you want your piece to end and set it to "stop on pass no. 1". You can hide the repeat text.
