I'm using finale 2014 and presently working on sheet music using mandolin and Tablature. I'm trying to add braket to link both staves together but since the first staff in called Mandolin and the tab staff in also called mandolin I can't get the bracket to show, Would you please explain to me how I can get the bracket to link both staves.

I am not sure I understand the problem.
I do not experience problems with adding a staff group bracket connecting two staves that have the same name.
Please specify the steps you are following to produce the problem.
Please specify the steps you've already taken, so that we can rule out things.
One idea (which you may have tried already?):
Rename one of the two staves so that the two staves do not have the same name.
Then add the staff group bracket.
When you have added the bracket, you can change the staff name back to what it was before.
