staves disappearing and pages going blank

Hello, I'm using Finale 2014.5 on a mac osx 10.11.

The problem is staves are disappearing etc whenever I start inputting notes in the project I'm working on now and it is only happening in this project.

I have already tried deleting the Finale file in the preferences folder and updating the page layout - neither have solved the problem.

Any help is much appreciated.

If you are entering notes in Page View, try working in Scroll View and see if the problem persists.

In addition to J Adrian's suggestion, you could be running into a program error in Finale 2014.5 for Mac. Check out this article for more information and some workarounds if this is the problem you are encountering: Page items display incorrectly, changes don't take effect, cannot select items (Finale 2014.5 for Mac).
