 I just began writing a simple transcription with two staves: banjo and banjo TAB.  I have no sound during playback. I've checked to ensure that nothing is muted, from the Finale systems to the computer's systems. I'm using Finale 2014.5 on OS 10.10.5.

I have the same problem when using Aria player. If I use regular MIDI then sound is OK. If I manually launch either 32 or 64 bit Aria player I can load instruments and do get sound.

Thanks, Pedro. I went to MIDI/Audio>Audio Units Banks and Effects... and changed the one track from "ARIA Player" to "SmartMusicSoftSynth" and it plays just fine. Your expeditious reply is much appreciated.

I created a simple score, but when I attempt to play it back, I could hear no sounds.  I did what your Knowledge Based help suggested to no avail.

I had a piece all done with multiple instruments. I was satisfied. I tried to export it as a mp3 file. All instruments played back as a piano. I tried to retrieve all of the sounds from "Play Finale through MIDI." I'm getting no sounds at all. HELP! Opened a brand new document and no MIDI sounds play, only my electric keyboard.
