Hi - I'm on MAC OS 10.9.5, Finale 2014.5.  I am trying to figure out how to get my left hand bass in the second measure up into the treble staff so I'm not dealing with leger lines in the bass staff. I would rather not enter a clef change in the bass, I would prefer to notate it all in the treble.   Can't figure out what kind of tool I need for this.

Michelle Whitson Stone,

 

The second measure in your posted example can also be notated using layers in the top staff.

Put the upper notes in Layer 1, the lower notes in Layer 2.
