Windows 7, Finale 2014.5

This may be a Windows issue. For the last few weeks or month, every other day or so, Finale eradicates the default location of my files within the program and I have to go manually redo it in Preferences. Aside from being a minor time consumption, it's a pain. Any suggestions appreciated.
