Is there a way to remove or hide the gray lock icons generated when using the 'Fit Measures' option without also removing the measure layout I formatted?

i.e. I want to lock or format each line, but not see the gray lock on my screen.

I use several screenshots daily from Finale for my classes, but the locks are unsightly (or tedious to constantly edit out with an image program).

Are you teaching music - or are you teaching engraving with Finale?

If you are teaching music, consider using Finale’s Graphics Tool instead of taking screen shots.

One of the options in the Graphics Tool is the PDF format which will render the best possible resolution on any media.

If you are teaching engraving with Finale, consider keeping the Lock icons.

Thanks for replying, Peter.

I am teaching middle school choral music.  I need the excerpts as images to place into word documents and slide presentations for sight-reading excerpts and teaching students about notation symbols, score reading, etc.

I just tried out the Graphics Tool for that purpose.  It works great, but it is much slower as it involves extra steps - naming and saving the images, then having to open the "Insert Image" option in Word and find the file in Windows Explorer.  I want to be able to copy/paste directly into a program like Microsoft Word without naming/saving the file or going through additional dialog prompts.

I guess I could leave the saved folder open and drag them into the documents.  Right now I can copy/paste very quickly with Windows' "Snipping Tool" - which works great because it allows copying the image directly to the clipboard...except for these gray locks are on every line.

Thanks Michael M Perfect!

I record the cursor too so that pupils can follow the video as the part plays.
