Is there some way to convert all Quarter-Eight Rest combinations in 6/8 time to Dotted Quarter Rests? For some reason I have a mixture of the two in my file and would like to make things uniform. Latest version for Mac.
This seems to work for me: MIDI/Audio menu > Quantization Settings > More Settings Select “Allow Dotted Rests in Compound Meters”. Click OK twice to return to the score. Selection Tool. Select All. MIDI/Audio menu > Retranscribe
Interestingly, that worked over small areas. When I tried the whole document, it locked up Finale. 100% CPU no response for a half an hour. I can at least get this to work. Thanks. I would have never thought to look under MIDI settings.
