Newbie: Where did the sound go?

I am currently evaluating the trial version of finale.

However, in one piece of music, the playback sound (clarinet) disappeared at a certain point during the editing or saving/loading. Other scores have retained their sound.

Any ideas on what I may have done wrong?

How do I restore the sound in this score?

I, myself, have never experienced this.

Now if you are using the trial, which does not come with the Garritan sounds, then are you exclusively playing back through MIDI, or are you connecting Finale to another VST? If so, we would probably want to know which VST's you are using.

Under the Midi/Audio drop down select Reassign playback sounds, see if it clears it up. Another tip. You can use Ctrl-A to select everything or you can just select the Clarinet part. Then under the Edit drop down select Clear Selected Items>None>check box Midi Data.
